"account": "KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 3 — If you've been feeling the need to \"go out and touch grass,\" consider visiting Lalaport mall this weekend for Spellbinder 2026. The event, running from October 1-4, aims to encourage those interested in tabletop gaming, popular card games, and even Dungeons and Dragons to play, learn, and socialize. A highlight of the event is Magic: The Gathering (MTG), making it a great option for both newcomers and experienced players.\n\nTo attend, simply head to the fourth floor of Lalaport mall, where the main activities are concentrated. There's a front table for MTG merchandise and displays, but no need to worry about gatekeeping – you're free to explore the booths and try out various tabletop games. Some booths even sell dice and other tabletop gaming supplies, while others offer unique experiences like building a custom Warhammer model.\n\nFirst-time players can catch up on the basics of Magic quickly and may even receive a pleasant surprise, like pulling a US$20 (RM83) card during their first game. The event staff is known for being friendly and accommodating, so don't hesitate to ask questions or learn more about the games.\n\nIn addition to MTG and Warhammer, Spellbinder 2026 features vendors selling comics, while women gamers can participate in the Mana Coven's Starlight Sanctuary event. This women-centric MTG gathering includes a cover fee of RM35 for a booster pack and an introduction to the Commander format of the game. If you're curious about Magic or simply looking for a change of pace, Spellbinder 2026 offers a welcoming environment for gamers of all skill levels and interests.",
