"summary": "The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions, and the National Association of Academic Technologists have joined the Academic Staff Union of Universities in declaring an indefinite strike across Lagos State-owned universities. The strike is set to commence at midnight following the non-implementation of the 2026 Federal Government-unions agreements by the Lagos State Government. The affected institutions include Lagos State University, the Lagos State University College of Medicine, Lagos State University of Science and Technology, and Lagos State University of Education. The unions claim that they have exhausted all avenues for dialogue with the state government and that the strike will remain in force until the government signs, domesticates, and implements the applicable provisions of the agreements.",
