"account": "Former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chibudom Nwuche, has advised traditional rulers in the Ekpeye Kingdom to refrain from participating in political affairs. Nwuche, who serves as the Chairman of the South-South Development Commission, made this call during events celebrating his 65th birthday in Ochiba, his hometown, on Sunday. He emphasized that monarchs should maintain a neutral stance in politics to maintain their dignity, respect, and influence over their subjects. According to Nwuche, engaging in partisan politics could lead to disaffection among the populace and diminish the prestige of the traditional institution. He stated, \"It is inappropriate for a royal father to play partisan politics. The role of a leader of such category is to be a father to all, irrespective of party affinities.\" Nwuche also discussed advocating for an amnesty program for those involved in cult activities, which he believes would enhance security and allow residents to engage in farming activities without fear. He expressed a hope for such a program to be introduced before the end of the year and emphasized that he did not want young people to be killed. Nwuche urged residents to support President Bola Tinubu and candidates from the APC and the Renewed Hope Coalition in the 2027 elections and appealed for unity among the people of Ekpeye Kingdom for the area's development. The birthday celebrations included a visit to the Adventist Rehabilitation, Welfare, and Orphanage Home, as well as a football match in Ahoada town.",
