"account": "Former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chibudom Nwuche, has advised traditional rulers in the Ekpeye Kingdom to refrain from engaging in partisan politics. Nwuche, who is the Chairman of the South-South Development Commission, delivered this advice during celebrations marking his 65th birthday. He emphasized that monarchs should adopt a neutral stance in political matters, asserting that their role should be to serve as a father to all, irrespective of party allegiances. Nwuche cautioned that participating in partisan politics could lead to disaffection among the subjects and diminish the respect associated with the traditional institution. He lamented the behavior of certain kings who engage in political rallies and attire, urging them to change their ways. Additionally, Nwuche proposed an amnesty program for repentant cultists in the area, aiming to enhance security and enable residents to resume farming without fear. He expressed hope that such a program would be introduced before the end of the year. Nwuche called on residents to support President Bola Tinubu and candidates from the APC and the Renewed Hope Coalition in the 2027 elections, while also urging unity among the people of the Ekpeye Kingdom for the area's development.",
