"account": "A Nigerian correctional officer, Michael Ademoye, has been apprehended for allegedly smuggling drug-treated paper into the Wynn Unit prison in Texas, United States. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) announced the arrest on Wednesday, revealing that Ademoye intended to deliver the substance to an inmate. The 28-year-old resident of Huntsville faces charges related to drug manufacturing or delivery and bribery. According to TDCJ records, Ademoye was held on a $100,000 bond for the drug charge and a $50,000 bond for bribery.\n\nAdemoye was found carrying over four grammes of synthetic cannabinoid-treated paper, known as K2, when he entered the prison. He informed investigators that he had planned to deliver the material to a specific inmate and had already received payment for his actions. The recruitment records indicate that TDCJ hired him in April 2025. The Wynne Unit prison expressed its appreciation for Ademoye's dedication and commitment in a Facebook post, recognizing him alongside six other cadets for their positive impact on the facility.\n\nBiodun Busari, a journalist with five years of experience focusing on human interest, crime, diaspora issues, and feature storytelling for Punch Newspapers, covered the story.",
