"account": "Seoul, South Korea (AP) — North Korea launched at least one projectile toward its eastern waters on Saturday, according to the South Korean military. This marks a continuation of a series of weapons tests amid heightened tensions between the two nations, particularly following land mine blasts that injured three South Korean soldiers.\n\nThe Joint Chiefs of Staff in South Korea reported that the projectile was directed towards the North's eastern waters, although they have not provided further details such as the distance the weapon traveled or whether it was a ballistic missile.\n\nThis launch occurred the day following a public rebuke from North Korea's sister, Kim Yo Jong, who dismissed South Korean demands for an apology over the mine blasts. Kim Yo Jong labeled Seoul's request as \"utterly pathetic\" and asserted that North Korea intends to sever ties with the South permanently. She further denied North Korean involvement in the mine blasts and threatened retaliation if South Korea were to engage in any actions against North Korean troops fortifying the border.",
