"account": "Titans' Lhuan-dre Pretorius has shattered Chris Gayle's T20 individual scoring record with an unbeaten 188 off just 79 balls in a Pro20 Cup match against the Knights at Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein on Friday night. Gayle had held the previous record with a sensational 175 not out off 66 balls in the 2013 IPL. Pretorius's record also superseded the previous highest T20 score by a South African, previously held by his Titans teammate Dewald Brevis with 162 off 57 balls in 2022. The Titans' first-innings total of 267/3 is now the second-highest T20 team score in South African cricket, following Brevis' previous performance. This is the second world record Pretorius has shattered in the past month, as he became the youngest player from an ICC Full Member nation to score a T20 International century last month, scoring 101 off 53 balls against Namibia. Pretorius was delighted with his performance and said he didn't realize he had broken Gayle's record during the innings break. He expressed his satisfaction with giving his best effort and his love for playing for the Titans. The Titans' aggressive approach in the tournament, with Sinethemba Qeshile and Leus du Plooy leading the charge, seems to have encouraged Pretorius to push himself harder.",
