"summary": "The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has cautioned 1,700 corps members in Bauchi State against taking the law into their own hands during their service year. The Bauchi State Coordinator of the NYSC, Umoren Kufre, emphasized this warning during a swearing-in ceremony for the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream I corps members. Kufre urged the corps members to maintain patriotism, discipline, and obedience to the rules governing the scheme, and to use proper channels to address grievances. The orientation course, designed to prepare corps members for national service, includes paramilitary drills, citizenship and leadership training, physical exercises, lectures, skill acquisition, and entrepreneurship development. Kufre commended the corps members for their conduct at the camp and assured their safety and welfare, while the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, encouraged the corps members to take their service seriously and contribute to national development through Community Development Service projects.",
