"account": "La Dade-Kotopon Member of Parliament Rita Naa Odoley Sowah has voiced her disapproval of a demolition taking place at La Pleasure Beach, stating that local authorities and community leaders were not properly informed about the operation. The MP confronted security personnel at the location and highlighted the impact on residents who relied on the area for income. During a media interview, Sowah expressed the disappointment of the people of La, claiming that they were being displaced despite having built their livelihoods around the site. She questioned why they were being rewarded with a hotel demolition. According to the MP, the demolition was being led by the Labadi Beach Hotel and its Board Chairman, not the government, and she had contacted both before and after the exercise. However, she received conflicting information from both the hotel's Managing Director and Board Chairman. Sowah also raised concerns over the involvement of armed security personnel and previous disputes in the area, questioning why the demolition was now affecting the Labadi Beach region.",
