"account": "A 30-year-old man, Okpara Chibuike Emmanuel, has confessed to murdering his 27-year-old girlfriend, Chinyere Rosemary Ugwu, in Enugu State. The incident occurred on September 19, 2026, after an argument over HIV. Emmanuel told the Enugu State Police Command that he had promised Ugwu that he could cure hepatitis C, HIV, and syphilis. She then accused him of infecting her with HIV, leading to a physical confrontation. During the altercation, Emmanuel used a machete to inflict injuries on her wrist, head, and neck. He then wrapped her body in a black nylon bag and hid it in the toilet until neighbors discovered the offensive odor. Emmanuel also damaged Ugwu's Samsung phone, fearing it could be used to trace him. He admitted that he was not fully aware of his actions and attributed them to possible intoxication. The police are investigating the incident and have directed that the suspect be charged to court. The police urge members of the public to inform trusted individuals of their whereabouts when going out.",
