"account": "New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani lambasted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, branding him \"the architect of a horrific genocide.\" Mamdani spoke out in an interview on the American podcast This Past Weekend, hosted by comedian Theo Von. The conversation, which originally discussed local issues, eventually turned to Israel, Gaza, and Netanyahu's recent visit to New York. Mamdani revealed that he believed the federal government, and not the local mayor, had the authority to arrest Netanyahu. He called for the United States to join the International Criminal Court (ICC) and enforce the arrest warrants it has issued against Netanyahu, including one for alleged crimes against humanity and war crimes. Mamdani also defended his decision to host Palestinian families from Gaza at his official residence, Gracie Mansion, stating that criticism of Israel's policies is not antisemitic.",
