"account": "According to the Khanpur SDPO Shahid Nazir, a female constable named Saba Kanwal, who was on duty at the Islamgarh Police Station in Khanpur, Punjab, allegedly attempted suicide over her parents forcing her to marry her paternal cousin against her will. Kanwal, who was initially reported to be in critical condition, was hospitalized and later discharged after receiving medical treatment. She claimed that her husband and in-laws subjected her to violence and death threats. Kanwal expressed her fears about being placed in her family's care and appealed to the Punjab government for protection. The police have temporarily transferred her to the police headquarters and are handling the matter cautiously, in accordance with her wishes and consent. It is reported that Kanwal had not previously filed an official complaint about abuse or harassment, but these claims have not been independently verified.",
