"account": "Two new F-16V Block 70 fighter jets touched down at Taiwan's Chihhang Air Base on Friday, marking the initial arrivals of 66 US-made aircraft ordered in 2019. The jets, which arrived via Hawaii and Guam, landed at midday local time (0400 GMT). The defense minister, Wellington Koo, stated that more planes are on the way, with deliveries expected to conclude by year-end. Software issues initially delayed the arrival of the fighter jets. Taiwanese officials emphasize the importance of the aircraft in countering China's military advancements, particularly the stealthy J-20 fighters. The US has been cautious about providing its most advanced fighters like the F-22 or F-35, citing a potential trade-off with Taiwan's security. Despite China's claims of annexing Taiwan by force, a Chinese invasion before 2028 is considered unlikely by US officials.",
