"account": "NAGOYA, Oct 2 — Taiwan's Olympic champion boxer Lin Yu-ting, who faced controversy over her gender eligibility at the 2024 Paris Games, clinched gold at the Asian Games on Wednesday. Lin defeated China's Yang Chengyu 5-0 in the women's 60kg final in Nagoya, securing her second Asian Games gold title after winning in the 57kg category in Hangzhou three years prior. The 30-year-old athlete, supported by a small group of Taiwanese fans in the intimate Nishio Gymnasium, utilized her extended reach to dominate the bout and emerged victorious in the final round. Lin expressed to AFP before the Games that she had contemplated retiring after Paris but wanted to continue fighting to challenge those who doubted her eligibility. In a similar incident to the 2023 world championships, where both Lin and Algeria's Imane Khelif were disqualified by the International Boxing Association (IBA) for not passing unspecified gender eligibility tests, the IOC granted them the right to compete in Paris, deeming them victims of an \"unjust and arbitrary decision\" by the discredited IBA. Both athletes went on to win gold medals. In another highlight of the event, China's reigning Olympic champion Wu Yu secured her third Asian Games title in the 51kg category by defeating Vietnam's Nguyen Thi Tam 5-0.",
