"account": "Torrevieja will be honored with the Valencian Cultural Capital trophy during a free ceremony at the Municipal Theatre on October 11th. The award recognizes the city's designation as Valencian Cultural Capital for 2025 and its rich music, arts, and cultural heritage. The gala event, scheduled for 11am, will gather representatives from cultural organizations, institutions, and the community. Valencian regional minister María del Carmen Ortí Ferre will present the award to Mayor Eduardo Dolón, who will accept it on behalf of the city. The ceremony, organized by Torrevieja City Council and the Valencian Institute of Culture, will showcase performances by the Music Conservatory, Choir School, and Dance School, emphasizing the role of arts education and local organizations in Torrevieja's cultural life. The Valencian Cultural Capital designation is awarded annually to municipalities that excel in cultural initiatives supporting economic development, community ties, and visitor attraction. Torrevieja's recognition has bolstered a program featuring symphonic music, habaneras, theatre, opera, and festivals, drawing crowds to the Municipal Theatre and International Auditorium annually. The award acknowledges Torrevieja's unique cultural traditions, such as the International Habaneras and Polyphony Competition and National Theatre Competition, as well as local bands. Free admission is available, but an invitation is necessary, obtainable via www.culturatorrevieja.com.",
