"account": "KUALA LUMPUR, October 2 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced that the 2026 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix will be broadcast live on RTM this weekend. The event will be held at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC), marking Malaysia's return to the F1 calendar after a 17-year absence. Malaysia had hosted the Malaysian Grand Prix at Sepang from 1999 to 2017. The live television coverage aims to provide Malaysians with the opportunity to witness a world-class Formula 1 race. In July, Formula 1 confirmed Malaysia as the host of the Bahrain Grand Prix following an agreement between the sport, the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), and the governments of Malaysia and Bahrain. This arrangement ensured the race remained on the 2026 calendar, replacing the original Bahrain Grand Prix scheduled earlier in the season, which was cancelled due to geopolitical tensions in West Asia.",
