"account": "49-year-old Chew Loong Thye, accused of murdering his mother, is standing trial in Ipoh High Court today following an incident in Menglembu last week. Chew, who appeared to understand the charges read in Cantonese before Magistrate Norizan Riduan, has entered no plea, according to Sinar Harian. No plea was recorded from the accused. Based on the accusation, he is charged with murdering Ching Lai Kheng, 70, in a house in Taman Wang, Menglembu between 7.15 pm and 7.30 pm on September 27. The charges against him carry a potential sentence of death or 30 to 40 years imprisonment, as well as a fine of at least 12 years, unless he is sentenced to death. The prosecution is handled by Deputy Public Prosecutor Ainin Sofiya Azlaini, while the accused was not represented by a lawyer. Earlier, Ainin Sofiya informed the court that pathology and toxicology reports are still pending, and there is no guarantee of a plea. The accused mentioned he has been taking psychiatric medication. The court then ordered Chew to be referred to a psychiatrist for a psychiatric report under Section 342 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The case will be re-scheduled for November 2 to obtain the report, including a psychiatric one.",
