"account": "Skyline High School in Oakland has decided to cancel the remainder of its football season, according to principal Rebecca Huang. The decision comes after citing a variety of factors, including injuries, transfers and other circumstances, which have reduced player availability and made it impractical to continue. Skyline once had a highly successful football program under the guidance of John Beam, who led the Titans to numerous championships and undefeated seasons from 1987 to 2003. However, the school has now canceled its remaining games, including a forfeited match against Alameda and the scheduled game against Oakland Tech this week. Skyline joins a growing list of East Bay programs that have canceled their seasons, including Richmond, Kennedy-Richmond and Mount Diablo-Concord. James Lick-San Jose and Irvington-Fremont have also scrapped their seasons, following Skyline's decision. Huang consulted with the Oakland Athletic League, Oakland Section of the CIF and High School Network before making the announcement. While the school pledges to rebuild and strengthen its football program ahead of the 2027 season, the exact steps to achieve this are not mentioned in the announcement.",
