"summary": "The Johor-Singapore Cooperation Ministerial Committee (JSCMC) will convene on November 2 in Singapore, paving the way for the official launch of the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ) Master Plan at the 13th Malaysia-Singapore Leaders’ Retreat scheduled for December 4-5. Economy Minister Akmal Nasrullah highlighted the positive atmosphere of the meeting with Singapore Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong, focusing on strengthening economic cooperation and addressing the implementation of the JS-SEZ and cross-border carbon capture and storage (CCS) initiative. The JS-SEZ has garnered over S$5.5 billion in investment commitments from Singapore-based companies, with the ministry's aim to ensure these benefits reach the people of Johor and Malaysians. Both nations aim to finalize a bilateral agreement on CCS in the fourth quarter of 2025, strengthening a regional green value chain.",
