"account": "Miami Vice 85 will cast Walton Goggins as a villain, Deadline reports. Goggins, known for his roles in Fallout and The White Lotus, will embody a henchman/assassin serving John Leguizamo's cartel king character. Michael B. Jordan and Austin Butler will portray Ricardo Tubbs and Sonny Crockett, the lead protagonists. The film, a period reboot of the TV series, is not a sequel to Michael Mann's adaptation or an extension of the original source material. F1 and Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski will direct the project, which was initially planned for a 2027 release but is now set for May 2028. Filming is expected to commence this year, leading to more casting announcements as production progresses. Goggins has established a reputation for playing nefarious characters in TV shows like Justified and The Shield, as well as films such as The Hateful Eight, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and Tomb Raider.",
