"account": "Kyle Bekker, the captain of Forge FC, announced his retirement on Thursday following a season marked by cancer treatment and an ACL rupture. The 36-year-old midfielder had been a foundational player in the Canadian Premier League, playing 239 games for the club and helping them win four championships. Despite the setbacks, Bekker viewed his final season as a success, allowing him to reflect on his career and make amends. He was diagnosed with testicular cancer in the off-season, which led to a period of recovery before he returned to play for Forge. In May, he suffered a knee injury, marking the end of his professional playing career.",
