"summary": "Iran has published a lengthy letter to Americans, asserting its victory over the US in a seven-month war and suggesting that diplomatic resolution remains elusive. The regime claims to have \"decimated America's military bases across the Gulf, forced the US Navy into retreat and destroyed billions of dollars-worth of high-end radar and aircraft,\" though this is described as \"partly true, though overstated\" and the Iranian regime's own losses are \"wildly understated.\" Tehran is reportedly preparing a more aggressive response if the US resumes large-scale strikes, with Iranian leaders having \"virtually no faith\" in American negotiators and adopting a strategy defined by \"escalation and continuous offense.\"",
