"account": "Rapper Rick Ross, whose real name is William Leonard Roberts, was arrested in Miami on two battery charges on Thursday, according to court records reported by The New York Times. The charges include felony battery by strangulation and misdemeanor battery. Ross voluntarily surrendered and pleaded not guilty to both charges. In video footage from TMZ, Ross' lawyer appeared in court and requested expedited release for his client due to his celebrity status, but the judge denied the request. Ross was released on $5,000 bail. The allegations against Ross stem from an incident reported by his ex-girlfriend, Jazzma Kendrick, who claimed he physically abused her and accused her of infidelity. The alleged abuse allegedly occurred on August 28, but Kendrick only filed a police report a month later, on September 29. Ross' attorneys stated that the allegations are \"fabricated\" and deny any wrongdoing, urging the public to allow the judicial process to determine the truth.",
