"summary": "Manchester City is facing accusations of violating financial rules to build a more competitive team. An independent commission found the club guilty of all charges relating to alleged financial breaches between the 2009-10 and 2017-18 seasons. According to the commission, City artificially inflated revenue through sponsorship arrangements and used mechanisms to disguise the true extent of certain liabilities.\n\nThe disputed arrangements involved funding worth about £830.69 million. City's owners, Abu Dhabi United Group (ADUG), are at the centre of the controversy, with the club expected to argue in their appeal that key sponsorship payments were funded by the Abu Dhabi government rather than by ADUG. However, the commission rejected City's explanation concerning the source of the funds.\n\nThe Premier League's findings have sparked a significant development in the case, with City set to appeal the decision. The club has consistently denied wrongdoing and criticised the commission's findings, saying they contain clear errors of law.",
