"account": "The Boston Red Sox were swept by the New York Yankees in the AL Wild Card Series, ending their 2026 season prematurely. As the MLB offseason begins, the club has identified bolstering the starting rotation as their top priority for the upcoming season. With Sonny Gray set to become a free agent and numerous starting pitchers departing the team, the Red Sox are in urgent need of additional rotation depth. ESPN's David Schoenfield emphasizes that the pitching staff's lack of depth could severely impact the team's postseason prospects in 2027. While healthy prospects like Garrett Crochet may provide some relief, the club will likely need to acquire more starting pitching talent through free agency or trades. Notable names in the market include Tarik Skubal, Shota Imanaga, Kevin Gausman, Casey Mize, and Robbie Ray, all of whom could significantly enhance the Red Sox's rotation capabilities.",
