"account": "St. Louis resident Michael Goessling discovered a surprising family secret when he learned that his father is none other than renowned singer Michael McDonald. The 58-year-old found out about his adoption at a young age, and it wasn't until a half-brother's DNA test revealed a connection that Goessling met both his biological father and mother. Though the two Michaels share a first name, they have no familial resemblance, as noted in their photo. McDonald, now 74, shared that he has always carried guilt for not raising Goessling, but his response to their meeting was one of gratitude and relief for leading a good life. Goessling's adoptive parents provided him with a loving and secure childhood, and the reunion with his biological father was a moment of love and connection, with both men expressing their affection for one another. McDonald published a memoir in which he revealed his youth when he became a father. The story echoes similar tales of long-lost parent reunions, most recently with Billy Idol, who also used a DNA test to find his son.",
