"account": "New York (AP) — Atlanta Dream star forward Angel Reese was named the WNBA Defensive Player of the Year on Thursday, receiving 46 votes from 72 media members. Reese, a three-time All-Star, led the Dream to their first playoff semifinal appearance since 2018 in her debut season with the team. The 24-year-old grabbed a league-high 12.1 rebounds per game, ranked third in steals with 1.8 per game, and helped her team achieve the third-best defensive rating in the WNBA. Reese set a new single-season record with 521 rebounds, 206 offensive rebounds, and 26 rebounds in a single game. After spending her first two years with the Chicago Sky, Reese joined the Dream in a trade this offseason, continuing to excel as one of the top defenders in the WNBA.",
