"account": "Phase one of the Konadu Irrigation project, situated in the Kwahu Afram Plains South District, is scheduled to be commissioned in one month. This initiative is part of the Afram Plains Economic Enclave Irrigation Project (APEEIP), which aims to promote year-round farming. The project is expected to support the production of cereals and vegetables using modern irrigation systems, such as centre-pivot and gravity systems, to irrigate approximately 900 hectares of land.\n\nSmallholder farmers are expected to participate in the project through an anchor-tenant/outgrower arrangement, connecting them to commercial operators and markets. Josh Roche, the project manager for Rann-Luuk Limited, briefed members of the Agric and Cocoa Affairs Committee of Parliament on the progress of work, stating that the project is now 96% complete. Once completed, the scheme is set to provide reliable irrigation for year-round production, thereby supporting increased commercial farming in the Afram Plains.",
