"summary": "Filmmaker Ti West is set to release his adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, titled Ebenezer, starring Johnny Depp as Ebenezer Scrooge. The film maintains the core story of the original tale, but offers a spooky interpretation that has impressed fans. The trailer reveals a wealthy and bitter Scrooge who values money above all else, who is visited by the ghost of his dead business partner, Jacob Marley (Ian McKellen), who warns him to change his ways or face a grim fate. Scrooge subsequently encounters the three Ghosts of Christmas: Past, Present, and Yet to Come, who compel him to reflect on his memories, his present behavior, and the future awaiting him. Fans have expressed excitement for the film, praising Depp's performance and the film's intention to stay true to Dickens' original story while adding a scary twist. The movie is scheduled to be released on November 13, 2026.",
