"account": "Indianapolis, IN - April 6: Silas Demary Jr., the point guard for the Connecticut Huskies, did not attend the Big East Basketball Media Day in New York on Thursday due to illness. Demary was among the three UConn players chosen to represent the team, alongside seniors Jayden Ross and sophomore Braylon Mullins, as well as head coach Dan Hurley. The conference media day, held annually before each college basketball season, features the unveiling of preseason polls and all-conference selections. UConn is expected to be the top-ranked team in the Big East, with eight out of eleven coaches selecting the Huskies as the No. 1 team in their preseason poll. Braylon Mullins made the preseason first-team All-Big East team, while Najai Hies earned second-team all-conference honors. Freshman Colben Landrew was named Big East Preseason Freshman of the Year, becoming the fourth consecutive UConn player to win the award. Despite missing Thursday's event, Demary is expected to return to the court in just under two weeks, as the Huskies will play an exhibition game against Syracuse at Mohegan Sun Arena on October 13th at 7 p.m.",
