"account": "Lviv court sentences 20-year-old Viacheslav Zinchenko to life in prison for the murder of Ukrainian linguist and former lawmaker Iryna Farion in July 2024. Zinchenko was found guilty of intentionally killing Farion, motivated by national intolerance, and illegally possessing a firearm. The court cited multiple forms of evidence, including forensic matches, surveillance footage, and digital records, to establish Zinchenko's involvement in the killing. Zinchenko pleaded not guilty and denied any involvement throughout the trial. Farion, a linguist and nationalist Svoboda party representative, was shot in the head near her apartment on Masaryka Street. She died several hours later at the age of 60. Zinchenko was arrested in Dnipro in July 2024 and held without bail while investigators gathered evidence, including over 60 forensic examinations and the analysis of extensive surveillance footage.",
