"account": "Rashawn Mangan, a junior linebacker for Paramus Catholic, is the North Jersey Male Athlete of the Week. He made a remarkable five-sack performance against The Hun School in their upset win. Mangan, from Maplewood, is part of a family with a strong football background, including his father being a coach and principal at Irvington High School and his older brother DJ as a linebacker at the University of Buffalo. Growing up around football, Mangan tried basketball but gave it up after fouling out of every game. He became a full-time defensive player, enjoying delivering hits and not waiting for others to make the tackles. Despite playing with a broken sesamoid bone in his hand, Mangan continued to perform exceptionally well. Standing at 6-foot-1 and weighing 185 pounds, Mangan is determined to gain more weight while maintaining his speed. Mangan is focused on his scholarship season and chasing his dream, filling gaps on the field as needed and playing any position his coach assigns. Off the field, he enjoys watching live streamers and playing football video games. While there has been little action from recruiters, Mangan remains hopeful and believes in his team's ability to compete against high-profile opponents and win a championship.",
