"summary": "Rick Ross, born William Leonard Roberts II, was arrested in Miami Beach on domestic violence charges. He faces one felony count of battery by strangulation and one misdemeanor count of battery, both classified as domestic violence. According to Miami-Dade jail records, Ross was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center at 6:10 a.m. on October 1st.\n\nThe arrest comes after his former girlfriend, Jazzma Kendrick, accused Ross of physically abusing her. Kendrick shared images of a bruised and busted lip on Instagram, stating she had been a \"punching bag\" for Ross. She later said she was okay and had started healing after the incident, which occurred about a month ago.\n\nRoss has retained attorney Bradley Horenstein and is scheduled to appear for arraignment on October 22. Bond was set at $5,000 for the felony charge and $1,000 for the misdemeanor. According to Stereogum, there are no further public details on the alleged crimes, including the specifics of the incident or the current status of the victim.",
