"account": "On Thursday, a Nova Scotia court dismissed a sexual assault charge against actor Mike Smith, known for his role as Bubbles in the TV series \"Trailer Park Boys.\" The 3-day trial, which began on Thursday, was set to commence after Smith pleaded not guilty to one count of sexual assault in relation to an alleged incident that occurred on December 30, 2017. The media gathered outside the Dartmouth, N.S. provincial courthouse, anticipating Smith's presence. His defense attorney, Stan MacDonald, spoke on Smith's behalf. The Crown decided to submit no evidence, and MacDonald requested the dismissal of the charge, which the judge granted. MacDonald expressed to the media that Smith is pleased to have this matter behind him. A statement from Trailer Park Boys Incorporated, which manages the business affairs of the TV franchise, announced that Smith will resume his duties with the company. The court's decision to dismiss the charge against Smith concluded legal proceedings initiated in October 2025, stemming from an allegation dating back to December 2017. The company added they will offer no additional comment.",
