"summary": "Bukola Saraki, a former Senate President, has called on Nigerian youths to demand more accountability and better governance from their elected leaders on the occasion of the country's independence.\n\nIn a separate development, youths in Delta State expressed anger over the distribution of T-shirts bearing the image of President Bola Tinubu during an Independence Day Run. The participants were surprised to receive “Soft Nigeria” polo shirts featuring Tinubu’s image, leading some to tear the T-shirts and threaten to boycott the event.\n\nThere was also a congratulatory message from King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Palau's President Surangel Whipps Jr. on his country's Independence Day, but this was not related to Nigeria's independence celebrations.",
