"account": "During South Korea's Armed Forces Day ceremony on Wednesday, a target drone crashed during a live demonstration of the country's domestically developed laser air-defense weapon. The mishap transpired on the runway at Gyeryongdae military headquarters complex in Gyeryong, South Chungcheong Province. Dignitaries present included President Lee Jae Myung, Defense Minister Kang Shin-cheol, and National Assembly Speaker Cho Jeong-sik.\n\nThe demonstration featured four fiber-optic drones deployed as targets, aiming to showcase the Cheongwang laser weapon's capability to intercept airborne threats. The first attempt saw one of the two target drones lose balance and crash during takeoff. The unfortunate event was captured on camera and broadcast live.\n\nAccording to the military, the drone suffered damage after strong gusts interfered with its thin fiber-optic cable, which it relied on for control rather than radio signals. While the Cheongwang weapon was expected to engage the targets sequentially, it only intercepted the remaining drone after the initial crash. The second sequence of the demonstration remained unreported.",
