"account": "Kanye West's two planned concerts in Russia have been called off, organizers announced on Wednesday, only two months after their unexpected announcement caused a media frenzy and excitement among Russians. West, known by his stage name \"Ye,\" had faced bans from several European countries due to past antisemitic remarks. The Saint Petersburg venue that was originally set to host the shows pulled out just days after tickets went on sale, leaving uncertainty surrounding the events. \"Friends, it is with sincere regret that we announce that the YE concerts in Saint Petersburg cannot take place on the scheduled dates,\" the Moscow-based events organizer Say Agency said in a statement. \"We will publish details regarding the refund terms and conditions shortly.\" West has not yet responded to the cancellation. The Grammy-winning rapper would have been the biggest Western musician to headline in Russia since Moscow initiated its Ukraine offensive in 2022. While several Russian officials welcomed the planned shows, others expressed concerns over West's previous comments praising Nazi Germany, a highly sensitive topic in Russia. Reports indicate that police are now investigating the organizers for potential fraud, according to the Kommersant newspaper, citing an unnamed source.",
