The investment round, led by QDB and Next Ventures, also saw participation from a group of private investors. Established in 2025 by Ali Abbas, Aligator focuses on developing autonomous AI agents for the public relations industry, automating tasks such as press material drafting, media monitoring, journalist and outlet matching, and outreach management. With founding members from Qatar Foundation and graduates of Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar and Texas A&M University at Qatar, Aligator stands as a prime example of Qatar's investment in world-class education leading to globally competitive AI technology.
