"account": "On Monday September 28, the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) in Hohoe responded to flooding that stranded individuals across various communities in the Hohoe Municipality. The flooding resulted from heavy rainfall that caused swift rises in water levels, leaving several areas including Star Filling Station, Picnic, Hohoe Central Zongo, Segbedeme, Kitikpa, and Wegbe without safe access for residents.\n\nDOIII Bismark Hosu-Porbley of the GNFS Hohoe Fire Station led the rescue operation, which aimed to evacuate stranded persons and move them to safer locations. The fire service's prompt response came after residents reported the rising floodwaters that had trapped people in their homes and communities.\n\nThe GNFS emphasized the importance of caution during heavy rainfall and advised the public to avoid flooded roads, drains, and waterways. The Service urged residents to seek higher ground and move to safer places as soon as water levels began to rise. These precautions were vital in preventing further harm or loss of life during the emergency situation.\n\nIn a notice on Thursday, October 1, the GNFS reiterated the need for vigilance during periods of heavy rainfall, urging the public to take early measures to protect themselves from the dangerous conditions caused by rising floodwaters.",
