"account": "KUCHING, October 1 — Police leaders have been cautioned by Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Abdul Aziz Abdul Majid against abusing their positions and urged to perform their duties with integrity, accountability, and fairness. The deputy emphasized that leadership should not be exploited for personal gain but rather serve as a significant responsibility to be upheld responsibly. At the handover ceremony for the Sarawak acting police commissioner and chairman of the Sarawak Contingent Persatuan Keluarga Polis (Perkep), Abdul Aziz emphasized that every decision made should be grounded in integrity, accountability, and fairness. Earlier, he witnessed the transfer of authority from PDRM Management Department director Datuk Mohamad Zainal Abdullah, who held the position of Sarawak police commissioner, to his deputy Deputy Commissioner of Police Saifullizan Ishak. Prior to Mohamad Zainal assuming his duties at Bukit Aman, Abdul Aziz also cautioned leaders against oppressing or mistreating their subordinate officers and personnel. Instead, he stressed the importance of guiding, listening to, and protecting those under their charge. Abdul Aziz asserted that leadership based on such values is essential for fostering a fair, harmonious, and respectful work environment.",
