"account": "Two Israelis, aged 23 and 24, were arrested in Limassol, Cyprus after over 27 kg of ketamine and other drugs were found in their rented apartment. The pair entered Cyprus as tourists on September 20 and rented the apartment in the Amathus area on September 24, intending to leave on September 29. When the apartment's owner discovered a suitcase containing plant material and white powder on September 24, police were alerted. During the police investigation, one of the suspects allegedly struck a police officer and a member of YKAN, Cyprus's anti-narcotics unit, was injured during the arrest. The court ordered the suspects to be held for eight days for further investigation. The investigation may be linked to a significant drug seizure of approximately 390 kg of ketamine in Limassol earlier in September.",
"summary": "A court on Thursday morning ordered that the two be remanded for eight days for investigative purposes. Their defense attorneys did not object to the police request.",
