"summary": "The Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) has recently published a list of 110 tertiary institutions in Ghana that are not currently recognised by the Commission. This announcement was made in a public notice issued on September 30, 2026, by GTEC's Corporate Affairs Directorate. The reasons for the lack of recognition vary, but are primarily attributed to quality assurance concerns. GTEC has urged the public, especially prospective students, to be cautious and verify the recognition status of any institution before enrolling or accepting certificates from it. The Commission emphasizes the importance of due diligence in this regard.",
