"account": "A Michael Jordan jersey from his \"Last Dance\" season has sold for $12.3 million (£9.3 million), shattering the previous record for a piece of game-worn Jordan memorabilia. He donned the jersey during game three of the 1998 NBA Finals, which marked his final season with the Chicago Bulls. Jordan played a pivotal role in the Bulls' victory with a 4-2 series win, earning him the Finals Most Valuable Player award in all six games.\n\nThe record-breaking jersey was auctioned by entrepreneur Ryan Gough and listed on Joopiter, a digital auction house backed by Pharrell Williams, with an estimated price range of $10-15 million (£7.5-£11.3 million). The 1997 Ferrari 550 Maranello owned by Jordan fetched $2.7 million (£2 million) in a separate auction, quadrupling the record for that specific model.\n\nAccording to Joopiter, the game three jersey from the 1998 NBA Finals symbolizes the epitome of greatness in sports history. The auction posting emphasized how the jersey represents the transformation of basketball into a global cultural phenomenon during the Last Dance era. The record price for a piece of game-worn sports memorabilia stands at $24.1 million (£18.2 million), which was paid for a Babe Ruth jersey from the 1932 World Series.",
