"account": "Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, Senate Leader and Chairman of the South-West Caucus, has cautioned politicians against inflammatory rhetoric and actions that could endanger Nigeria's peace before the 2027 general elections. In a statement marking Nigeria's 66th Independence Anniversary, Bamidele urged political parties and candidates to adhere to the Electoral Act 2026 and the 1999 Constitution. He acknowledged the right to exercise political rights but emphasized that these rights must be exercised within the law and not through hate speech or actions that could trigger political unrest or ethnic violence. Bamidele warned that political freedom does not include inciting violence and urged political parties and candidates to conduct their campaigns peacefully and in line with national unity. He cautioned that no ambition is worth setting Nigeria ablaze and that the country's heritage should be preserved, not destroyed.",
