"summary": "Survivors of human trafficking in Nigeria are advocating for a greater role in anti-trafficking policies and interventions, emphasizing the importance of incorporating their lived experiences to strengthen prevention, protection, and accountability measures. The call was made at the launch of Voices Unchained – Trafficking Survivors Initiative, a survivor-led organization established by three young Nigerian men who were recently victims of trafficking for forced criminality. The founders of the organization, Anthony Ogbonna Joseph, Morgan Chikadibia Jaja, and Alex Oluwayomi Onyeji, stressed the importance of survivors becoming part of the solution, rather than just beneficiaries of interventions. They warned Nigerians, particularly young people, against deceptive overseas employment offers and urged them to be cautious of seemingly legitimate job opportunities that are often used to lure victims into forced criminality and exploitation.",
