"account": "Two decades after its initial release, Aventura and Don Omar's 2005 hit \"Ella y Yo\" (\"Her and I\") has achieved the coveted milestone of reaching one billion views on YouTube. Hailing from New York, Aventura is renowned for their bachata music, while Don Omar is a prominent figure in the Puerto Rican reggaeton scene. The pair began collaborating on the reggaeton-bachata track, which initially failed to make much of an impact on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 97.\n\nDespite its modest chart performance, the song quickly soared to No. 2 on the Hot Latin Songs, Latin Rhythm Airplay, and Tropical Airplay charts. Its popularity has since endured, leading to the song's nomination at the 2006 Latin Billboard Music Awards for Hot Latin Song of the Year by Vocal Duet or Collaboration.\n\nThe official music video, directed by Ulysses Terrero, was uploaded in 2019 and showcases a telenovela-style setting. This unique approach has contributed to the video's immense popularity, earning it the one billion views mark on YouTube. The clip's director, Ulysses Terrero, captured the essence of Latin drama with the video's steamy visuals, now regarded as a streaming sensation.\n\n\"Ella y Yo\" is featured on Aventura's 2004 album, God's Project, and Don Omar's compilation, Da Hitman Presents Reggaetón Latino, released in 2005. The enduring appeal of the duet is evident in Aventura's decision to have fans join in performing Don Omar's part during their live performances. This occurred during their 2020 Inmortal tour in Los Angeles, where Romeo Santos, Lenny Santos, Henry Santos, and Max Agende Santos engaged in a spot-on rendition of the song with a fan on stage.\n\nFor Aventura, \"Ella y Yo\" marks their first official video to achieve the one billion views milestone, while it is Don Omar's third video as a lead, featured artist or collaborator to do so.",
