"account": "Australian swimmer Jenna Forrester shattered the 17-year-old record for the women's 400m individual medley at the short course championships in Sydney. The 23-year-old clocked a time of 4:28.39, shaving 0.33 seconds off the previous record set by Ellen Fullerton. Forrester, who also finished second in the 200m backstroke earlier in the meet, had only recently competed in the shorter distance, finishing second to Iona Anderson in that event. Despite the challenge of doubling up, Forrester stated she had prepared intensively for the meet. She has had a standout year in 2026, winning three individual golds at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, as well as a bronze in the 400m freestyle and silver in the 400m IM at the Pan Pacs in California. Forrester is among the 24 swimmers selected to represent Australia at the upcoming World Championships in Beijing, taking place from December 1-6. She expressed her excitement about joining the team and competing at the prestigious event.",
"summary": "Jenna Forrester has never competed at the short course world championships, but winning a silver and a gold in the same evening, also beating a 17-year-old a national record, has put her in pole position to do so.",
