"account": "Indie bookstore Book Bar is relocating from Duxton Road to Tiong Bahru Community Centre, where it will have twice the space for books and events. Founded by Alex Chua and Sara Ng, Book Bar was established in July 2023, focusing on Singapore literature and serving as a cafe and community space. The bookstore began looking for a new home earlier this year, as its lease was set to end in June 2026. Book Bar was one of several indie bookstores in the Duxton and Chinatown area. Chua expressed excitement about the new Tiong Bahru location, anticipating a larger selection of titles and more literary events. The move aims to continue fostering community through books and connections. The renovations for the new space are expected to be finished by December 2026.",
