This alliance was formalized during a visit by a seven-member MACI delegation, led by its National President Mr Funso Olojo, to the Lagos Zonal Office of ICPC.\n\nICPC Resident Anti-Corruption Commissioner for Lagos, Mr Chukwurah Alexander, acknowledged the crucial role of media as a partner in the ICPC's public enlightenment and corruption prevention mandate, as stipulated by Section 6 of the ICPC Act of 2000. Alexander commended MACI for its dedication to discouraging public involvement in corrupt practices and expressed confidence that the strengthened collaboration would enhance public awareness and preventive measures against corruption.\n\nOlojo affirmed MACI's commitment to supporting the ICPC's anti-corruption mission through responsible and ethical journalism, emphasizing the necessity for active citizen participation in building a corruption-free Nigeria.
