"account": "The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) is currently organizing preparations for the 2026 basic training program for new recruits, with trainers from various disciplines coming together. Held in Lagos on Wednesday, the retreat saw the gathering of trainers responsible for areas such as drill, medicals, security, sports, and other training aspects. Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, emphasized the importance of collaboration among trainers, urging them to work as a team and review training modules to produce officers the service and society could be proud of. Adeniyi highlighted the significance of breaking down silos, as working independently could hinder achieving the desired results. During the event, Adeniyi shared his own experience as a trainer in 2008 and 2009, noting that the officers trained during that period had gone on to serve in higher positions due to the collaborative efforts of the trainers. The retreat aims to bring all trainers under one roof, promoting a common understanding and ensuring everyone works towards the same objective, ultimately saving time and promoting greater coordination ahead of the commencement of the basic training program.",
